What Causes Red And Tender Area Around The Incision Post Laparoscopy?

I had an ovary removed with a laporoscopy and there is redness and tenderness around the incision in the belly....going down from the navel Could this be infected and how soon ( as it is nighttime) should I get this taken care of? Should i wait until the morning to see the DR or go to emerg?

If you having fever with chills and rigor now , go to the emergency department. Otherwise wait till morning to see your operating surgeon itself.
