What Causes Red Band Around Both Ankles?

My husband has a red band around his lower leg above both ankles. No pain, no itching, no tingling. Experiencing intermittent fatigue. Should he go to urgent care, or can this wait until morning? Takes meds for type 2 diabetes, reflux, sleep apnea to stay alert, ibuprofen

Hi

Since your husband has diabetes, so I would surely advise you not to take any such kind of skin redness lightly. I hope his blood glucose levels are within normal limits with treatment .
In any case you should see your treating doctor as soon as possible to rule out the possibility of any infection like cellulitis since such lesions are very common in diabetic patients .
