What Causes Red Blotch In The Pubic Hair Region?

I have a red blotch a little smaller than the size of a quarter in my pubic hair region. It seems to have been there for roughly one month but does not itch or feel anything. I ve been worrying slightly about Lyme disease being a possibility but I haven t felt any symptoms of any kind.

Hello,

I think it can be ringworm causing the red cycle in the public area. You may need to use anti-fungal ointment to get rid of it. Clotrimazole or Nystatin cream may be used.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
