What Causes Red Blotchy Skin All Over My Body?
Hi, I had parathyroid surgery a year ago last January. I had a sestemibi. The night of the surgery I noticed red blotchy skin all over my body. Kind of lace like, but not always, just red blotchy. It has been getting worse. Is it from the surgery or the nuclear test I had before the surgery? If not, what is it? It doesn t hurt, just getting more and more unsightly. Thank you.

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like due to compromised immunity of body, allergic reaction, contact dermatitis , eczema , psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis . Need not to worry. You should take diet rich in multivitamin supplements. Apply cold compresses to red blotches. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy food. You should take benadryl twice a day and avoid dry environment. You should avoid touching or pricking red blotches. You should consult allergy specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order allergy test , blood test for IgE antibodies and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe anti allergic medicine , corticosteroid ointment and anti inflammatory.
