What Causes Red Bumps Along With Burning Sensation On Tongue?

Hello, My tongue now has holes in it and also has a few red bumps and at the end of it is red. I am a very clean person and can not understand why I have this. Sometimes my tongue burns lately. I have used hydrogen proxide lately to rinse my mouth but do not know what is going on with my tongue. ?????

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from a severe case of Apthous Ulcers or Canker Sores leading to holes over the tongue along with redness and red bumps at the back of tongue that can be due to swollen tongue papillae due to inflammation over the tongue..

I would suggest you to start gargling with warm saline solution.
Gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take a Vitamin B complex daily..
You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Take a soft and bland diet..
You can also suck ice and do cool water rinses..
In case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
