What Causes Red Bumps And White Coating On Tongue?

hello i have recently noticed red bumps on my toung and a white form over my tounge the bumps are red and the rest of my toung is white i also have had heavy bleeding from behind my doctor said it was hemroids and gave me cream but its still there. i think the lumps on my toung have been there for a long time i just haven't paid attention to them until now there is no pain with them also i feel fine and healthy otherwise what could this be?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain white coating over your tongue seems to be due to a number of causes like reduced immunity, intake of steroids and antibiotics, diabetes,intake of Oral contraceptives, Dry mouth etc..
The red bumps at the back of tongue seems to be swollen Circumvallete Papillae which are present at the back of tongue and contains taste buds, they seems swollen secondary to infection..
-You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
In case of Thrush antifungal medicines like Nystatin mouthwash and clotrimazole lozenges and taking ample of Probiotics like Yoghurt and Garlic will help..
Do warm saline gargles and suck ice pops for relief from the swollen papillae and take Ibuprofen if there is pain or soreness.
