What Causes Red Bumps Around The Ear After Piercing And Wearing Gold Earring?
my daughter is 5 months and about 3 days ago, i had her ear pierced. And i notice she was breaking out in little red bumps around the ear, behind the ear, on the face a little bit and inside the ear.. and its both ears..its not swolling or she dont show any signs that it hurts when i touch her ears The earring is 14k gold and clean it with alcohol and and her doctor pieced her ears but its the weekend know and so he is not available, and i am very worried about her.. is she allergic to gold.. is it infected... should remove the earrings
I share your concerns. It looks like your daughter is allergic to gold or any other material mixed with it. It could be infection too, but in case of infection your daughter must have got pain and fever, which I think is not there. The condition you have explained is erythema or reaction to the allergens. I would advise you following 1 remove the gold ring immediately and clean the area. 2 give her antihistamine and anti inflammatory syrups 3 report to the doctor who performed the piercing
I hope my reply will help you. Please write to me or hcm for follow up queries. I wish you and your family good health.
