What Causes Red Bumps On Abdomen?

i have about 40 red bumps on my abdomin with red around them. They seem to hurt a little when touched and are a little warm. We recently were camping and noticed them the day we got home. The bumps also ( some of them) appear to have a white dot in the center. I don t know if I need to go to the doctor. I feel fine and have no fever

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an insect bite. I recommend using a steroid cream for local application such as Hydrocortisone cream. I also suggest to use an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. Aloe vera gel can be very helpful in soothing the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
