What Causes Red Bumpy Itchy Rashes On The Face?

My husband has a red bumpy rash on one side of his face. Covering almost his whole cheek from below the eye to bottom of his chin on the left side. This happens every summer, it seems. It hurts to shave. It is very itchy. Any suggestions? It has worsened over the last week.

Hi.
As per your case history your husband is having multiple furuncles.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
