What Causes Red Color Rash Under The Lip Of A Child?
Hi my 6 year old just within the last couple hours developed a red not raised rash on her upper lip. She did not have this in the morning. I only noticed it after we were leaving a park. It loos like she was eating berries or something like I could win it off. It s a purplish color. What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query red color rash under the lip of a child after eating berries is mainly due to allergic reaction. It can lead to perioral dermatitis as well. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination and to find out exact cause . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin) for a week . For now you can take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling , keep it clean and do not touch it with hands. Apply topical erythromycin based ointment. You should immediately stop using all kinds of creams and cosmetics as well as steroid ointment. Wash face with luke warm water. Drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
