What Causes Red Colored Cheeks?

I get a red hot face (cheeks) after sex ....exertion ..and perhaps beer ....it can last a quite a while and then go away. My wife is a nurse and does not think it s rosatcia. I do have a fair bit of stress it seems. The redness has no bumps or anything and this is about the 3rd year in a row it has come at about this time of year ..... it has been maybe a couple months now,....it did not last this long previous years. (oddly I do remember it a bit as a teenager). Thanks

Hello,

As per your case history, you are suffering from Rosacea.

My treatment advice is:
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a clindamycin gel like Glocin twice daily on it.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.

If the problem persists, then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
