What Causes Red Dots On Eyes?

Hello,sometimes I see red dots before my eyes like when I look somewhere a certain part of my vision is blocked by dots and not only that but sometimes I see flashes of light and a red line appears in the upper part of my vision, this lasts for a few minutes but it happens every 2-3 nights, what's the reason?

you need detail eye examination. they are symptoms of retinal detachment. what you describes are floaters. . Fund us examination to exclude retinal tear hole or detachment to be don. you have not given your age or history of other disease like diabetes. you have to exclude diabetes next thing is retinal involvement..
