What Causes Red Freckles On The Lower Part Of My Leg?
I had a non-cancerous tumor removed from my calf 2 years ago. During the operation, one of the major arteries was severed. Since then - aside from numbness and pins and needles in my foot, I ve developed red freckles on the lower part of my leg. Is this related to the surgery, something normal, or something I need to worry about? I am a 54 year old female, started excercising 30 minutes a day 5 days a week about 6 months ago, walk 5 miles a day (according to the fitbit) and am an ex smoker.thanks.
The freckles on the lower part of the leg seem unrelated to surgery especially if these are bilateral that is affecting both legs in almost equal extent. There is nothing to worry unless these freckles turn too numerous on one side or show any elevation. For the feeling of pins and needles, you might try vitamins and some exercises which should help you to a good extent. Please talk to your doctor when you visit the surgeon on your follow up visits
