What Causes Red Itching Bites Like On Foot And Knee?

I have three linear red (now crusted) bites on the top of my foot. I was at a cemetary Saturday and sat down for a bit....when I got up my foot had these three red marks and I itched it so much that day they opened up and bled. My foot has been mildly swollen on top since. I have treated with bacitracin and Benadryl cream but still very itchy. Now today I have three more linear bites further up going behind knee. I cleaned the rash sites tonight with alcohol which felt good even though it burned some. Am I dealing with scabies, chiggers, etc? Do I need to see a doctor?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having insect bite dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and levocetrizine for itching.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
