What Causes Red Itchy Lumps On The Feet And Lower Legs?

I got stung by fire ants on my feet when we took my grandson trick & treating. At the time I thought I had gotten bit by mosquitos as they were very itchy. When I got home the itching had ceased and the next day after my shower I saw these bites on my feet and lower legs they were red,raised and looked like pustules forming. I had no idea they were fire ant bites , until my neighbor told me. What do I use on the bites ?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red itchy lumps on the feet and lower legs. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like acute meningitis , chickenpox , contact dermatitis , erythema nodosum and heat rash . The symptoms can also occur due to allergy from sweat. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , allergy test and skin patch test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants and corticosteroid ointment along with antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis . For now avoid playing and take benadryl twice .
