General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The major cause of the the red marks in the armpit is a fungal infection. In my daily practice I recommend:
1. A clotrimazole cream for local application.
2. Fluconazole 150 mg tablet for oral treatment once.
3. Keep the area dry and clean and avoid sweat which can trigger the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
