What Causes Red Painful Lumps On The Eyelids?

HI, my husband has lumps on both eyelids (top and bottom). They are red and painful. The eye dr prescribed antibotics and flaxseed oil (believing it is chalazion) which neither has helped at all. We are worried and have limited doctors in our area.

Hello,

It could be a benign (non cancerous) swelling like chalazion. Consult an ophthalmologist and get evaluated. Most cases resolve with antibiotic ointments and it the lump persists surgical removal may be required.
