What Causes Red Patches In The Throat?

Hi doctor, I am male of age 25...height 180 cm weight 57kg...i am a smoker...3 cigrettes/per day...have been smoking for past 5 years....just a month before,caught cold and sore throat and it was off after 3 days...suddenly i noticed some red patches on my vocal boxes.1 was little big like 3 cm and some small red flat pimple like structures i dont know whether it exists long or jus now...so i went to an ent clinics...doc performed endoscopy inside my nose and saw those patches and said it is just normal infection due to my bad nose shape....they also performes xray n bloodtest and said i have sinus...they gave 2 medicines one is b active and another one for reducing swills... My question is whether it is dangerous like tumors ot just another minor infection..i have left smoking past 20 days still the patches exists...i dont have any symptoms...i am normal...but occasionaly need to clear throat by caughing manually(i have been doing this for very very long time )...kindly provide ur inputs.. Adding up i have also checked with another ent specialist he saw my throat normally n said its nothing.... I have undergone a mandatory health check up too in my office....they performed cbc and the report was very normal... Kindly provide ur inputs

Candidiasis – also known as “thrush,” it is a fungal infection that occurs in the mouth or throat due to an overgrowth of yeast. Symptoms include white spots inside the mouth or on the tongue, sore throat and difficulty swallowing. Canker sores – these are small white or yellow center lesions with a red border.
You need a topical antifungal cream[Nystatin for example] preferably with steroids. A crème that I know the trade name is Candid. There's another solution but it will hurt a little when you apply it-this is the Clove oil.

Fungal infections usually don't occur in average humans with normal immunity. So some where your immunity is compromised. So for a start check your Blood Sugar. Diabetes is a common cause of immune deficiency. Secondly make sure you are not a Beetle nut or Pan Masal chewer. Thirdly an HIV serology test for screening only will also be handy to rule out the deadly pandemic. [don't be scared,it'ill only be to make sure everything's alright.]
