What Causes Red Patchy Skin On Face And Arms Of A Child?

Hi my 10-year-old son had a middle ear infection about a month ago and took some antibiotics and ear drops the ear infection cleared but recently he developed red patchy skin on his face and arms it s not itchy and it doesn t bother him but I m concerned because it s getting worse

Hi.
As per your case history your child may be having either antibiotic induced rash or a viral exanthem.
My treatment advice is -
1. Both conditions are self limiting as antibiotic is already withdrawn.
2. Give him an anti allergic syrup like hydroxyzine 2.5ml twice daily.
3. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine on affected parts.

If condition persists then consult a dermatologist.
