What Causes Red Rash All Over The Back While Suffering From Fever?

My sixteen year old daughter spiked a high fever with vomiting two days ago after having a head and chest cold w/ asthma symptoms for ten days. Xray did not show pneumonia, her fever is controlled with Tylenol and she is now just mildly nauseous. Today she has developed a red bumpy rash all over her back. She began antibiotic last night. I am curious about what she could have, the rash, and if she is contagious. Thanks
