What Causes Red Rashes Around Dog S Scratch Wounds?

Hi i got bit by my friends house dog 5 days ago, which left a superficial scratch on my ankle. I just received a tetanus booster yesterday to prevent from an infection. However today i noticed that the area around the bite developed a red rash. Is this the result of the tdap vaccine taking its course? or was my delay in treatment causing a dog bite infection?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the wound is because of dog teeth it self then it must need vaccination if this is not due to teeth then it may not need vaccination, now in either case rash could be due to swelling process infection need to be ruled out, here anti-inflammatory can be used with antibiotic and drug of choice would be "Tab Amoxicillin with clavulanic acid" twice in day, "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg" three times in day, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day
