What Causes Red Rashes On The Shaft Of The Penis?

I Have a question I had some red dots in the pubic hair area, I went to my Dr and he said it was prob from shaving and was probobly bacteria from the razor,so he gave me a cream to put on(mupirocin) which seemed to help but now when I have sex I get like a rash on the shaft and a couple spots on the head, I put the cream on and it s seems to go away and the skin almost likes dries up and flakes off I guess, hard to explain but the spots on the head stay red for a while longer, any idea what this is and how to get rid of it ?

u should avoid sex for till I your red rash completely gone.. or do intercourse with protection... apply that given cream 3times a day after proper washing and drying..
