What Causes Red Rashes On The Upper Arms While On Cipro?
I have been taking cipro for a UTI since Monday. This afternoon I started having a red rash, all over, especially on upper arms and flanks. I stopped the medication and took Benadryl but it doesn't seem to be having much effect. What should I do next?

Rashes are a documented ADR [adverse drug reaction] of ciprofloxacin along with phototoxicity, i.e. people who take ciprofloxacin become more sensitive to light even for a brief period of time which may cause sunburn, skin rash, redness, itching and/or discoloration [which you are experiencing].
Let you attending physician know about the same so that effective management can be taken for this side effect
