What Causes Red Rashes On The Vagina After Shaving The Pubic Hair?
Hi so I shaved my pube hair like 1 week ago for the first time (I m 13) I m a virgin and never been sexually active in any way. Well I found these red bumbs on the area I shaved and like if a wore a bikini bottom, the sides are affected with this problem too. Help?????
Hello, welcome to HCM The pubic hairs are harder than the hairs over other areas and removing them with physical methods like shaving may lead to trauma irritates and inflames hair follicles, leaving open wounds and and inflammation of surrounding skin... Use aloe Vera to soothe the area or apply 1 percent hydrocortisone two or three times per day, if itching and redness is there... For the bumps: as long as they're not painful and don't bother you, there's no problem. Keep them clean and dry, and do not pick them...If they are painful this means a secondary infection you should take an antibiotic course like Augmentin 625 thrice a day for 5 days with topical mupirocin twice a day... Avoid shaving till the lesions heal... Hope you find it useful
