Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have developed a red scar right in the middle of my nose. Don't really know why. Though I met an accident a few years ago and my nose got injured. And it's more like broken from the left side. But that's wasn't too noticable until a few weeks. Please help me get rid of this red mark on my nose.
Hello there, Considering your history you may have these- 1) Contact dermatitis(Red scar may develop on the bridge of your nose where your glasses come in contact with skin). This can be taken care of by avoiding the glasses and getting a pair made with different material. 2) Bleeding post injury forming a bruise-This would resolve on its own but you would have to make sure there is no tenderness or areas where you feel pain on touching on your nose. If there is tenderness please get to a doctor and let him evaluate you for any persisting injury.
Hope this helps, Dr Arun A
