What Causes Red Sore Skin On Leg Post Inguinal Hernia Repair Surgery?

I have had my second inguinal hernia repair in a year. They said they either missed the second tear or i developed a new one. Both surgerys went fine except... The skin down the back of my right leg feels like i have a sun burn. The surgery was done three weeks ago. Is this normal?

it should not have any link with surgery. it is presumed if they have shaved your legs which might have caused infection of hair route. thinkingit inflamatory reaction of hair route , they should be cleaned with sterile swab and apply betadine lotion. you should improve from all ailment.
