What Causes Red Spot On Ankle While On Levothyroxine?
My 85 year old mom woke up with a large red spot at her ankle about the size of a hand and several brown spots up the side of one leg to about mid thigh up to about a half inch in size. Could this be a side effect of levothyroxin or an allergic reaction to it?

I really appreciate your concern, no this may not be the side effect of any medicine but this could be formation of abscess, it can be managed with anti-inflammatory drugs, if nothing happens and this goes on increasing then it may need investigations, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
