What Causes Red Spot On Head Of Penis After Having Unprotected Sex?

I have only been having sex with one person. We have unprotected anal, oral and vaginal sex. About three days ago I noticed a shiny red spot on the head of my penis. When I pinch the skin together it kind of wrinkles like dry skin. I have not had any kind of pain on the skin or any pain while urinating. If you could help me better understand what It could be I would greatly appreciate your insight. Thank you very much.

Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

The patch that you noticed seems like it is "balanitis", and is most likely to be candidal in etiology. It may have been acquired sexually from your partner; a history of vaginal discharge or itching in your partner would be a clue. It is not an STD.

If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a topical antifungal cream. You may try Clotrimazole 1% cream for a week which is available OTC.

A single dose of an oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150 mg is also curative.

In case your partner has vaginal itching Or discharge; both of you need to be treated to prevent re-infection.

I would suggest that you visit a specialist in your region for a confirmatory diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Regards
