Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Red Spots At The Back Of Mouth Along With Canker Sore On The Lip?
I have red dots in the back of my mouth, in the soft tissue area beside the uvula, and on the uvula. Have a canker sore in my front lip/gum where the gum meets the bottom of the lip...if that means anything. It s not too sore just slight pain and irritation.
A per your query you have red dots on your uvula and canker sores on lip . The red dots on uvula you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as paryngitis . Pharyngitis is inflammation of the pharynx the back of the throat. Viruses are the most common cause of sore throats, but some sore throats are caused by bacterial infections. There are many reasons for canker sore like allergic reaction , minor injuries , hormonal changes and low immunity due to infection . Usually they go away in few days by their own . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist or proper diagnosis . Doctor may order swab test , viral culture test and blood to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) for at least 10 days along with anti inflammatory . You can apply orabase gel on sores for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
