Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I started to notice some red spots between my teeth. I used to floss but not lately. Nonetheless always brushing my teeth at least once a day. I could be feel some discoloration in some areas between the teeth in comparison with other spots, which appear as usual with no changes. What is this case considered to be ?
The red spot you mention in your query is actually a spot on gum ,which is early indication of gum diseasegingivitis. Sometimes there is calculus or plaque buildup on part of tooth near gum line ,where toothbrush and floss are not to able to remove it.
This makes space for bacterial accumulation ,which further leads to gum disease .
I would suggest you to visit a dentist for proper examination and cleansing for your teeth(scaling ).Your doctor may prescribe you an anticeptic mouthwast like listerine .Maintain proper oral hygiene by regularly brushing twice a day and flossing .You should also do warm saline gargles twice a day.
hope your concern has been resolved.
