What Causes Red Spots With Yellow Head On Arms, Legs And Back?

We was at a bbq last night so my children were in the garden until about 8.30 9pm.. My daughter now has spots on her arms legs back and belly.. They are red all different sizes with yellow heads in the larger ones. They don t itch or seem to be bothering her at all but look awful and sore. Do you have any idea what they could be. My son also has some but not as sever. Both of them have had chicken pox. One is 5 one is 2 years old. No other symptoms. Many thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since it is not itchy but spreading, it can be due to skin allergy. Take care of their hygiene, avoid tight clothing.

Give them a shower & after drying the affected area with a towel apply hydrocortisone cream.

It should go away. If not then it can be due to folliculitis, get them examined in ER, they may need antibiotics.

To help relieve soreness you can give them analgesics drops.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
