What Causes Red Streaks In Mouth And Numbness In Lips?

I have a few red streaks on the roof of my mouth. They don t hurt, but my lips are numb and burn a little. Feels kind of like when the novacane wears off and my throat is not sore. I get cold sores several times a year, but have no blistering right now. The numbness began on the right side on top and bottom a few days ago then spread to the other side. Couuld this be herpes coming out? Could I have had a TIA cause my right hand and arm felt weird and had pain behind my eyeballs.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Red streaks in the mouth may be due to congestion or erosion or trauma or allergy to the drugs.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use tablet pantoprazole.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
