What Causes Reddish And Itchy Spots On The Arm And Waist?

I have about a dozen red spots that itch: 2 on left arm, 1 on right arm, 3-4 on left and right sides of waist. and 4-5 on upper left thigh (inner). I noticed them in the past 2 days . the spots on my arms appeared first, then on the waist, and today the new ones were on my inner left thigh.

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of reddish and itchy spots on the arm and waist which can occur due to certain reasons like an allergic reaction, side effect, sensitivity to sunlight, eczema and seborrheic dermatitis.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid applying any cosmetic product or hard soap and take over the counter antihistamine like benadryl and apply cold compresses on bumps to reduce redness and inflammation. If the condition doesn't get better then consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis along with anti-inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment.
