What Causes Reddish Brown Spot On The Foot?

Yes thank you. I have a large redish brown spot on the bottom of my foot. It is in the arch area. I would not have known about it if not for my wife noticing it. It is not raised and does not cause any sensation or pain. I can not seem to find any kind of info on any similar symptom. It is the size of a silver dollar.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The red brown spot on foot without pain or other sensation might be of concern from unnoticed compression, trauma to certain weight bearing area causing hematoma, once if it is organised, there is no pain or other discomfort. However, rarely one has hemangioma or other benign lesions on legs and a clinical examination is must.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
