What Causes Redness And Burning Feeling Around Urethral Opening During Urination?

hello... ive noticed today that the inside of my meatus is a little red and burns when i pee. im asking to see if its just a minor irritation.... and hoping its not a std. it looks a little irrated like soap got in there type thing... should i be worried?

Hello, Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
You have not mentioned your age, sex, your exposure history, any lymph node enlargement in groin and for how long you have this problem.
It can be a STD or merely a sore due to irritation. But in absence of any exposure, it can be taken as soreness due to irritation. You can apply antibiotic gel like ciprofloxacine get to prevent further infection and make it heal fast.
A course of oral antibiotics may be taken if it does not heal within a week.
