What Causes Redness And Burning Sensation In The Eyes?

Hi, I have been having red, burning, dry, watering and tearing eyes for about a month now. Is this due to weather or perhaps allergies? I am a kidney transplant patient and was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency recently from long-term use of Prednisone. Any ideas?
