What Causes Redness And Itching Around The Penis Head?

Hi. I m experiencing redness and itchiness near the head of my penis for about 4days, when I was to take a bath on the fifth day, I noticed that near the head or near the tip of my penis,it is located below, it has a cut and producing fluid and as time passes it produces more fluid. I tried to use betadine because it has a cut. I also tried ketaconazole. What should I do? I didn t have sex for the past 2years.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Redness and itching what you are having on the penis penis could be due to bacterial infection and inflammation of the skin in the region due to poor hygiene.
Kindly do the following to overcome the same.
1. Clean the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily.
2. Use anti-bacterial medicated soaps to take bath regularly.
3. After drying, apply Neomycin with Hydrocortisone cream over the lesions.
4. Take Tablet. Levocetirizine once a day to control itching and overcome allergic reactions.
5. Wear loose fitting undergarments to prevent friction and providing proper ventilation.
6. Abstain from sexual activities till the lesions heal completely.
Kindly restrain from using topical antifungal medications like Ketoconazole.
Main good personal hygiene. Gradually your symptoms should subside and be back to normal.
