What Causes Redness And Itching In The Legs?

Fr the past several months, I have had a slowly spreading skin condition on my leg. It begins with redness and soreness, intermittent prickling and itching. Eventually the redness turns darker, the soreness subsides and the area turns hard. The older areas have small bumps on top. I was checked for blood clots -- none. But no diagnosis or further treatment was suggested.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to conditions like epididymitis or orchitis.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
