What Causes Redness And Pain In The Leg After Removing A Tick?

I just had a tick removed from my leg day before yesterday. My husband said he removed all of it and it had not been on my skin a long time but was attached. Now I have redness in the area, pain and two tiny white bumps at the site. I have started yesterday putting mupirocin cream on it and covering it with a bandage. Do I need to see a doctor tonite or can it wait until in the morning. No other symptoms.
