What Causes Redness And Pus On Biopsy Site On Nose?

Hi ! Five days ago I had a tip of nose biopsy for another basal cell carcinoma. I cleansed the area as directed but am noticing redness & slight pus around site . Tried bacitracin ! Seemed to make it worse . Now I am just letting air get to it . Could this be a fungal infection & how can I treat it? Thank you for your help!

Hello,

Post-biopsy this may happen. Chance is a secondary bacterial infection but you should not self-medicate. Please visit the doctor who has done the biopsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Surajit Gorai
