What Causes Redness And Sensitivity In Clitoris Post Treatment For Yeast Infection?

Hello, I m 20 years old and am not sexually active. I have just gotten over a yeast infection- all of the symptoms are gone. I checked the area today, and there is some tissue residue under the hood of my clitoris. My clitoris is red and rather sensitive (more so than usual), and I can only seem to remove small piece at a time. Is there anyway I can wash it away? Like sitting in a hot bath? Or will it clear up on it s own?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Redness and sensitivity of the clitoris is mainly due to reactive inflammation.
You can take sitz bath (sitting in warm water for about 15 minutes) every day twice daily. You may add few drops of mild antiseptic solution to it. Following drying, apply Neomycin ointment. Wear loose undergarments until the lesion heals.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
