What Causes Redness And Swelling In Throat?

Hi I`m Wayne, thirty years old and an occasional smoker. I`ve swollen tonsils, sore throat when swallowing, pain in left ear. Had chills last couple of days but they are gone now and my voice and appetite is fine. I m taking calvepen antibiotics and ibuprofen for last couple of days. My tonsils are a little red and swollen. I m worried it could be throat cancer. Please give me some advice.

Hi,
Nothing to worry for cancer.
It seems that you might be having acute tonsillitis giving this problem.
As you are taking antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines within a day or two you will be fine.
Continue medicines for 5 days.
Do antiseptic gargles.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
