What Causes Redness And Swelling Of Scrotum After Wearing Wet Swimsuit?

Walking along beach in a wet swimsuit (Oahu Waimanalo area) causes a portion (not all) ofmy scrotum to become red and very painful. Rinsing the salt water off and out of swimsuit almost immediately relieves the pain and redness. Is there something I can apply before my walks to protect the scrotum. Thank you

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

I will be glad to answer for you

This can be due to a tight swim suit which is causing you pain and relieved after the pressure is released.

Or this can be an allergy to an insect bite.

You need not apply any cream or take pills if the pain and redness has come down. You can apply any powder[any powder, better if it is antifungal like cotrimaxazole], and wear loose clothing.

If the pain recurs take a Benadryl tablet, apply powder. If redness persists, try with 1% Hydrocortisone cream.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
