HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not unusual to have persisting inflammation after an insect sting.

The inflammation may cause some or all of the following eg pain and tenderness, redness, swelling, increased warmth, itching

Treatment would involve the use of an anti inflammatory agent (eg cataflam, naproxen, ibuprofen) along with an antihistamine (benadryl, claritine, zyrtec, allegra).
These would be used even if there is no itching or pain to help reduce the body's inflammatory response.

I hope this helps
