What Causes Redness And Warmth In My Upper Arms?

I have very red upper arms that look extremely sunburned and feel hot to the touch. I am wondering what the cause of this could be? I am 34 years old and 8 months postpartum weighing 152 pound. I have hypertension but it is well contolled with medication.
