What Causes Redness In Face When Taking Tamoxifen And Donepezil For Dementia?

My husband has had a very red face for about a week. (no other redness on his body.) It doesn t hurt or itch. He hasn t been out in the sun. No sun here lately. He doesn t consume any alcohol. He uses only dove soap as he always has. No new detergent for laundry. He takes two prescriptions: Tamoxifin and donepezil for his Dementia. He hasn t eaten any new foods. Do you have any ideas of what could be causing this?

One of the adverse effects of donezepil is facial flushing/redness of skin and increased blood flow. There isnt any reason to worry. This will gradually go down as the body gets used to the drug.

Thank you for your query
