What Causes Redness In The Big Toe On The Right Cuticle?

On my big toe the right of cuticle looks like a a blood blister. In does not change in color or size. Another similar looking blood blister in now on other foot on top of foot. What could these be? I currently have severe nerve sensations in my feet. Like I have no feeling in my feet. I am battling cancer. Have been wearing socks and slippers day and night to keep feet warm. I read on another site that these could be tomorrow. Any pics to show how these would look?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, this can be fungal infection, because of keeping the feet warm and closed in the feet mostly as it can make it damp or moist which favors fungal infections.

However, a dermatologist review or a query directed for a dermatologist with pictures on this forum can help you to seek proper guidance.

Uric acid levels and sugar levels should also be checked for any other precipitating factors.

Meanwhile, keeping the feet dry, using topical antifungals and oral anti-inflammatory drugs like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
