What Causes Redness In The Eye?

Hello, My eyes have been very red since last year. I don t have pink eye, been to the doctor and they told me to use eye drops I have and their not working. It s very frustrating because people think I m high or an alcoholic. I do smoke cigarettes and plan to stop very soon and get a good amount of sleep. I put in the eye drops every morning and night and though out the day when they get irritated or extremely red. Is there anything I can do to clear my eyes?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to conjunctivitis. Apply Ciplox eye drop locally. Avoid repeated eye touching. Maintain proper hygiene.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
