What Causes Redness In The Eyes?

The white part of my eye is red. I have had this for 2 days. It does not itch. I do have a lot of nasal allergy symptoms which I am treating with zyrtec and saline nasal spray. I have some increased drainage from my eye, but my eye is not matted over when I wake up.
