What Causes Redness In The Sclera Of The Eye?

For four months the whites of my eyes have been noticeably red. The nurse practitioner prescribed Pataday. This has not helped. What should I be checking for? Could I have something internal going on? I wear contacts, but I have used the same contact solution nothing has changed. My eyes fell scalded. Most days I do not wear my contacts.

Hello,

Constant red eye?
Did you changed your contact lens brand?
Because no other cause suddenly red not reduced by anti histamine solution.
Better go to Ophthalmologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
